Research and development in innovative products

History

LB Lyopharm was founded in 2008 with the aim of becoming a key player in the production of proteins and active ingredients of plant, animal and microorganism origin.

In 2009, we built the production site, consisting of the freeze-drying plant, chromatographic columns and instruments with high technological and innovative content.

In 2010, we installed lyophilizers that are sterilized with steam and can be used for pharmaceutical manufacture.

In the R&D department, LB Lyopharm develops innovative and high-quality products, which have been regularly marketed since 2012.

Since 2013, we have committed to developing and marketing foods for special medical purposes and dietary supplements. The following year, a MiniVIDAS® automatic analyzer was installed for conducting even more accurate microbiological analysis.

At the same time, we started to develop and sell products for athletes.

In 2016, we were awarded the ISO22000 certification for food safety and quality, which has been renewed over the years. BIO and HALAL certifications were also obtained, and the Alto Adige-Südtirol Quality mark was awarded for certain food products.

In recent years, several projects supported by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen have been developed and important Clinical Studies have been conducted on the beneficial effects on the body of ProLYOtin® and Whey Protein® made and patented by our company.

Since 2019, we also offer a third-party service, collaborating with important pharmaceutical companies.
